August Fly Challenge pattern
Hook: # 6 or 8
Tail-whisks: Medium bunch of red-dyed hackle whisks.
Body: Flat silver tinsel with oval silver rib.
Tail / Wing: 2 grey hackle feathers optionally tied-in:- as tail, under the body wraps (illustrated)
or as wing, on top of the body wraps (Matuku style)
NB The method used will not be judged per se.
Hackle: Grey hackle feather.
Head: Black & small.
Notes: 1: Note carefully the fly proportions in the illustration.
