• September meeting speaker is Dave Mc Lellan who will talk about spring fishing, preparing for the new season, what flies to use and where to find fish. Dave is past president AFAC, NZ representative at world flyfishing championships 1987-2000
  world dry fly champion 1987 and twice Commonwealth champion and president of and started the "Future Fisherman Foundation (take a kid fishing programme)
• A change on the committee at the AGM - Mike Barke and Philip Liesching have stepped down and Peter Scott and Kyoshi Nakagawa have agreed to assist new member development outside committee. Peter Chan, Derek Eustace and Frank Ciochetto are similarly continuing to help outside committee. New on the committee are Rob Theron (Treasurer), Roan Brooks and Brian Young - a vote of thanks to all for their contribution
• The committee list will be updated once portfolios are assigned
• Annual subs for Adult and Family will go up $5
• October meeting speaker is Rene Vaz who will talk on fly selection. Rene is a NZ Flyfishing Champion, author, holds casting instructor certifications (STANIC, FFF) and fly tying instructor certification (FFF). Rene's latest endevour is Manic Tackle Project
• The 1st Annual Lake Okataina Fishing Competition is on 1st and 2nd of October
• Trying to make the September Riffles an electronic version - we'll see how we go
• Overdue books and DVDs - Great response so far so well done and keep them coming
